The Brand ‘Roxanne Halenko- Wear the Change’ originates from a rich family history of garment alteration and bespoke garment design.

The name ‘Halenko’ is my family name and the surname of my grandfather who was from the Ukraine then moved to Clayton - Le - Moors in Lancashire, U.K. 

Growing up as a young child I was constantly shrouded in a world of creativity, this has been handed down through the generations being a huge influence on my mothers life also.

The bespoke element of my business stems from the inspiration in, which I found in both my grandma and mothers influence which had such a huge impact on me from an early age, with their creative vision of taking existing garments and altering them into a completely different piece, this is something I intend to transpose into my design creativity, offering an individually unique and exclusive piece to each client.

The journey continues with Roxanne Halenko, ‘Wear The Change’. The new era of the Halenko family dynasty begins here, as I intend to take what was once a family past time and create a fresh and unique brand using old family techniques but all the time in keeping with modern design techniques with a strong focus on ethical sustainability working with eco friendly materials produced in ethical working environments also focussing on minimal waste, using fabric cut offs to produce ranges of swim wear and children’s s wear. The brand will also offer a unique “Buy back” initiative whereby we buy back your no longer used or wanted garments and upcycle the garment into a new look piece with the option of you, the client, then buying the newly adapted garment back at a reduced rate, thus maintaining the company ethos of minimal waste and all the time maintaining my old family values.
